On Thursday 5th May, fifteen SUSS members descended upon Holme Bank Mine to hunt out eggs of the chocolate kind. Rosie and I had planted them in small crevices, in pipes and atop girders, making not the most easy of hunts, but I think everyone had their eagle eyes on, as there are now only 12 out of 95 eggs not found.

The previous day I had made a giant truffle egg. Bit of a disaster, with the first one melting as I poured in the truffle mix, so back in the bowl it went then into the second egg, which thankfully went more to plan. Jonny collected the most eggs (17 I think) so he won the prize of the mutant egg, which we all shared out at the pub afterwards.

I think it was a success, and hopefully everyone had fun. Roll on next Easter…
