Yorkshire

Sally and me headed up to the dales with the intention to have a bit of a potter round Kingsdale and tick off a few classics we’ve  overlooked. Bull Pot was decided on, cos the weather was looking a bit sketchy and we both didn’t fancy lugging a load of rope down with us. Spent about an hour, wandering up the dale, on the way, meeting Les from the BCA, brandishing his hilti and doing a fine job of maintaining Yorkshire caving!!
Bull Pot was dispatched quite quickly with no problems apart from missing a traverse bolt on pitch 3, which required a pendulum to rig the rest of it. This took 5 or 6 attempts of bouncing backwards and forwards on a 9mm rope, hoping nothing would rub!!
Nice cave for a quiet afternoon, especially if you’re not keen on getting wet!!
